The Guardian Unlimited has a wonderful article in its News blog on The coming of age of citizen media. It's about the online response of ordinary people to the tsunami that hit a year ago today, and how bloggers spontaneously created a worldwide network that saved some lives and changed many others.

Through my H5N1 blog I've come to know about Declan Butler, who writes for Nature magazine. He's now started Declan Butler, reporter, a blog about how scientists communicate on the Web. It's just getting started, but it should be a valuable resource to many bloggers.
