Wendy

I'm glad you pointed out the paradox in writing advice from the big names. I read so many contradictory tips it drives me insane. Years ago a writing teacher, who is also a novelist, told me to stop reading about how to write and just forge ahead. He said it will only make me freeze up and not want to write. So for a long time I didn't read any "How To" books, but I've slowly been sucked back into the advice vortex.
