Interesting excerpt. I'd like to see where it goes for authors. What does this mean for our future opportunities and income?

The music industry has been profoundly transformed by the combination of mp3 compression and the internet. There is a legitimate business model for the independent musician that did not exist fifteen years ago.

Do you think that the same could become true of the independent author?
