South Korean chicken farmers protest "reckless" bird flu remarks

Via Yonhap News: Chicken farmers seek gov't compensation over "reckless" bird flu remarks.

With their market slumping due to spreading avian influenza, chicken farmers on Friday pushed for a compensation suit against the government and some experts, whom they accuse of exaggerating the health risks of the pandemic.

The unprecedented move came amid South Korea's largest ever bird flu outbreak, with more than 8 million chickens and ducks having been culled since April.
