More than 300 Canadians have died of swine flu since last spring, including 30 between Wednesday and Friday morning. It killed more people from Nov. 16 to 23 than it did all last spring. No one knows where it is going, or if it will return in a more deadly third wave. Yet the public has lost its sense of urgency about being inoculated. The biggest-ever immunization campaign is turning out not to be nearly as big as it could, or should, be.
