I've belatedly noticed that the Hong Kong Centre for Health Protection has an "EV Scan" page, updated weekly. The update is a PDF, in English and Chinese, that gives considerable information on diseases caused by enteroviruses. The updates are archived all the way back to 2008, making this an even more useful resource.
This week's scan tells us that Hong Kong has recorded 3 laboratory-confirmed EV71 infection, and 47 altogether reported so far this year. Three of them had severe complications, but none have been fatal.
The scan also shows that Hong Kong had 1,363 HFMD cases in 2011, which sounds bad until you compare that number with the 5,025 cases in 2010.
