Suspicion of viral hemorrhagic fever in the zones of Isiro and DunguHealth authorities have reported 7 suspected cases and 4 deaths in the health zones of Isiro (6 cases, 3 deaths) and Dungu (1 case, 1 death), between August 1 and 13, 2012.Actions taken:•A team of the provincial health division and a cell of Médecins San Frontieres (MSF) arrived in Isiro on the weekend to distribute protective and sampling kits.•MSF has briefed all its personnel in Isiro about precautions to take.•An isolation site has been set up in the Isiro hospital; six nurses and two doctors will be in charge of isolation cases.•A sample was taken in Isiro on August 13 and sent to MSF in Dungu to be transferred to Kampala on August 14.•Organization of a daily crisis committee meeting in Isiro.
