Camagüey, 3 de septiembre.- El pasado día 29 de agosto, el brote de dengue que azota a la ciudad de Camagüey, cobró otra vida humana, esta vez, en la Escuela de Instructores de Arte, que ha sido destinada para acoger a las personas infectadas con ese virus.

Un trabajador de Salud Pública, que prefirió no revelar su identidad, explicó que la víctima fue un joven de 35 años de edad, y agregó que este Centro, que cuenta con capacidad para acoger a más de 300 pacientes, se encuentra totalmente abarrotado.

Según el trabajador las autoridades del Ministerio de Salud Pública (MINSAP), intentan ocultar la cifra de fallecidos cambiando el diagnóstico médico en los Certificado de Defunción de Muerte.

Aunque los medios de prensa oficial, todos en poder del Gobierno, no han hecho mención sobre el número de fallecidos y la cantidad de personas infectados por dengue, fuentes extraoficiales han reportado cuatro fallecidos y más de 3 mil infectados en esa Ciudad.
Although the official press media, all government-controlled, haven't mentioned the numbers of dengue deaths or cases, unofficial sources have reported four deaths and over 3,000 cases in this city.
Trabajadores del MINSAP, destacan que la cifra de muertos pudiera ser superior, pero debido a la alta presencia de militares, se hace casi imposible conseguir información.
