Calixto Ramón Martínez Arias corresponsal del Centro de Información Hablemos Press fue detenido por la policía desde el domingo en la noche y actualmente se desconoce su paradero.
Calixto Ramón Martínez Arias, reporter for Hablemos Press Information Centre, has been detained by police since Sunday night and his whereabouts are unknown.
El corresponsal investigaba sobre varias toneladas de medicamentos y equipos médicos que se echaron a perder en el Aeropuerto Internacional José Martí, para realizar un reportaje. Según un trabajador del Aeropuerto el suministro había sido enviado por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS).
The reporter was working on a report about several tons of medications and medical equipment that had been lost at José Martí International Airport after having been sent by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Al ser arrestado, sobre las 12:00 de la noche, el corresponsal informó a Hablemos Press que la policía permaneció más de una hora chequeando, por una planta de radio, su carnet de identidad. Más tarde se conoció de su traslado a la Unidad policial del poblado Santiago de las Vegas en el municipio Rancho Boyeros, La Habana.
On being arrested at midnight, the reporter notified Hablemos Press that the police took over an hour on the radio checking his identity card. Later it was understood that he had been taken to the police station in the Santiago de las Vegas village in the Rancho Boyeros municipality of Havana.

On Monday colleagues and relatives of the reporter appeared at the police station in Santiago de las Vega to inquire about him. The police said he had been there but had been moved, but gave no more details. This is the third arrest of a member of Hablemos Press in less than a week, in the month of September.The post goes on to say that Martínez has been arrested several times over his reporting, and deported over ten times from Havana to Camagüey because his ID card shows it as his address.
