The MSPP has posted more cholera statistics on its Documentation page. Since I'm travelling, it's hard to keep track of the daily situation, so here's the tally just for August 29, the latest day reported:
Cases: 115
Hospitalizations: 59
Deaths: 2
Total cases since October 2010: 588,752
Total deaths: 7,533
Perhaps the most striking information in this report is the continuing lack of prompt reporting from many departments. For August 29, no reports arrived from Grande Anse, Nippes, Nord Ouest, Nord Est, Ouest, Sud, and Sud Est. Presumably when their cases are eventually reported, the numbers will be folded into the totals.
