Dengue cases rising rapidly in Delhi. Excerpt:
New Delhi: Dengue cases are rising rapidly in the national capital this season with 30 fresh cases being reported on Monday which puts the total number of patients reported so far to 420.
While 29 fresh cases on Monday were reported from three Municipal Corporations areas, one was reported from the New Delhi Municipal Corporation area.
According to data available, 420 cases of dengue have been detected in New Delhi since the outbreak of the disease in early October.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation reported the maximum number of cases at 167, while 164 cases were detected from the North Delhi Municipal Corporation area. 75 cases have so far been reported from East Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Meanwhile, the
Hindustan Times reports that hospitals in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, have run out of beds due to the number of dengue and malaria cases.
