Fourth dengue case confirmed in Cairns. Excerpt:
Public health officials in far north Queensland are ramping up the fight against dengue fever after another person fell ill with the disease.
A woman in the Cairns suburb of Mount Sheridan is the latest confirmed case.
Dr Richard Gair from the Cairns Public Health Unit says she is the fourth person from the area to contract dengue type-three.
"We've sent out the DART team, the Dengue Action Response Team, and they have sprayed insecticide across a wide area to get rid of any breeding mosquitoes," he said.
"We're coming into dengue season, we've had a few cases.
"People need to be aware of that and just take the anti-mosquito precautions."
