ISLAMABAD : Following the murders of Polio Workers across the country, Lady Health Workers took to the streets in Islamabad protesting outside the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
The protesters have demanded that their colleagues' killers be arrested, that the workers be regularised and that the government should give them commando training so that they can defend themselves in the field and finally that the announced compensations for the deceased and injured be paid.Shades of the NRA's armed cops in schools. Vaccine administrators with commando training should expect more than the US$2.50 a day that the lady health workers now receive.
