Many thanks to reader Lucie LeComte for sending me the link to El Blog de Medicina Cubana. It's completely new to me, though it started in 2005. I've put links to it in the Bloggers and Español lists. Here's a post from today:
[Is the Cuban cholera epidemic continuing or over?] Excerpt, with my translation:
Again the health authorities in Cuba are lying. It's about not admitting an epidemic that could put Cuban tourism is serious danger. The liars who govern Cuba are interested only in the money from tourism and not in the people's health. They deny all epidemic illness that appears in the island and when they can't hide it they manipulate the information.
When the cholera outbreak appeared in the eastern part of the country, they denied it as long as they could and then declared it was under control though patients continued to be reported. Cholera reached Havana and when they couldn't go on hiding the health problem this meant, they reported 51 cases when the independent press, since last year, had been reporting it. Now they say cholera is controlled in Havana too.
If you read Spanish, the rest of the post includes links to several reports on cholera in Cuba—some of which I've linked to and translated from.
