El Gobierno de la República, por medio de la Secretaría General de la Presidencia, presentó ante el Congreso Nacional la solicitud de ampliación del Estado de Calamidad Pública por 30 días en ocho departamentos, con el fin de mantener la pronta atención de los damnificados y recuperación de los daños causados por el terremoto del siete de noviembre de 2012.
The government of the republic, through the General Secretariat of the Presidency, has presented to the National Congress a request for extension of the State of Public Calamity for 30 days in eight department, with the goal of maintaining prompt attention to the displaced and repair of the damage caused by the November 7 2012 earthquake.
La medida dispuesta por el presidente Otto Pérez Molina, establecida en el Acuerdo Gubernativo número 3-2012, vence el seis de enero, por lo cual se pidió la prórroga al Congreso que tramitará, y en su caso, aprobará la iniciativa, declaró Gustavo Martínez, Secretario General de la Presidencia.
