Hard on the heels of the UN's dismissal of responsibility for cholera in Haiti, the Ministry of Public Health and Population has released another week of cholera statistics on its Documentation page. This takes us from February 11 to 17.
Rather than detail the daily numbers, I'll just say the daily cases total 802 while the cumulative total has risen by 985, from 646,545 to 647,530. Eight persons died of cholera during the week, making a total since October 2010 of 8,028.
As usual, Grande Anse does not appear to have reported during this period, nor have several other departments.
MSPP has also posted some "report cards" on the health systems of the various departments and of the country as a whole. These are dated September 2011 and don't seem to discuss cholera at all.
