The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs executed a number of environmental health projects this year to support efforts to tackle dengue fever.
The ministry’s teams focused on identifying areas of mosquito infestations and formulating necessary plans to combat them. These included stagnant waters, under-construction buildings, public parks and rain water channels amongst others.
The ministry has adopted international expertise in its efforts and has utilized methods used in international pest management. These efforts were successful in preventing the spread of diseases to other areas of the Kingdom.
The rest of the piece is just more spin, but I've posted this because the ministry is that of municipal and rural affairs, not the ministry of health. That seems curious.
Also curious: the absence of MERS reports in the past five days, not even any good-news items about someone recovering.
