Via The New Dawn: Information Minister lauds media role in Ebola fight.
Information Minister Lewis Brown has applauded the Liberian media for its role in the fight against the deadly Ebola disease. Speaking at the Ministry’s regular Thursday media briefing, Minister Brown noted that the media has helped to educate the populace about preventive measures.
It can be recalled that the deadly Ebola disease was discovered in Liberia in March this year from persons who came to Liberia from Guinea for treatment. According to a health ministry report, of the 61 suspects listed, 59 have proved to be negative following 21 days of observation.
Minister Brown has, meanwhile, congratulated the Ministry of Health and its partners for their timely intervention in combating the Ebola virus. He said since April 18, no new case of Ebola has been reported in Liberia.
