Via The Liberian Observer: Team Doctor Assures Gambian Side of Ebola Safety. Excerpt:
The report of the presence of the Ebola virus in Liberia has worried Gambian U20 footballers who are scheduled to play their Liberian counterparts this Sunday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
But team doctor, Dr. Kalifa Manneh dispelled their fears and urged them to get set for their first leg African Youth Championship qualifiers.
Dr. Manneh told the players that precaution and prevention would be observed highly during their weekend’s visit stay in Liberia.
"It is true that the Ebola disease is in Liberia but it has nothing to do with the Gambia U-20 team because in anything that we do, we have precaution, findings, and ways of preventing it," the paper quoted Dr. Manneh.
The national U-20 side, Satellites, has been preparing for their clash against their Gambian counterparts.
Meanwhile a press statement from LFA’s Director of Communications Henry Flomo said the game will kick off at 4pm at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
