I've just checked the KSA MOH MERS page. It still does not have a news release up for today, but the statistics report 339 cases and 102 deaths. This is a day-to-day increase of 16 cases and 8 deaths. More soon.
Update: The news release has now been posted. Since I can't excerpt tables, here's a summary from a printout of the release:
• 16 cases in 24 hours
• 8 deaths; 4 in newly registered cases, 4 in previously confirmed cases
Distribution: Riyadh, 2 cases; Jeddah, 8 cases; Tabuk, 6 cases
Among the cases:
• A 9-month-old child has died in Riyadh.
• Several HCWs are confirmed: in Jeddah, a doctor and a nurse, both in stable condition; in Tabuk, 2 asymptomatic doctors (1 Syrian, 1 Egyptian) and 4 asymptomatic nurses. This may be an error: The Tabuk breakdown includes a third doctor, Saudi, and only 2 nurses, both Filipina. A total of 7 MERS cases are identified as being in Prince Fahd Hospital in Tabuk, which appears to have a very bad infection-control problem. I hope the Saudi media clarify the apparent inconsistencies in this report.
