Via the Orlando Sentinel: MERS update: 2 workers test negative. Excerpt:
Two hospital workers who were exposed to the patient with the MERS virus and who subsequently showed symptoms have tested negative for the illness, officials at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, in Orlando, reported this morning.
They do not have MERS, officials said. That includes one of the two workers who was hospitalized on Monday.
Twenty health-care workers in all were exposed, tested and are being monitored. "We are still awaiting test results on the other 18 health-care workers," officials said.
The patient, a 44-year-old man who was visiting from Saudi Arabia, who tested positive for MERS Co-V Monday, remains in isolation at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. He has been fever free for 24 hours and is doing well.
