The absence of new reports on Ebola in West Africa is striking. The Guinean media have reverted to local politics, presumably because no new cases have been reported lately. Liberia has nothing new, and the Sierra Leone media are equally uninformative. That's especially frustrating because an Egyptian national in Sierra Leone was reported as a confirmed Ebola case yesterday, but no new details have emerged—whether locally or in the Egyptian media.
Presumably media and public interest in West Africa is focused on today's World Cup final, not on Ebola, and perhaps we'll get something after the game. I'm betting on Germany to win.
