Via allAfrica.com, a report in Heritage: West Africa: WAHO Official - Ebola Will Be More Disastrous If... Excerpt:
The Liaison Officer of the West African Health Organization (WAHO) to Liberia, Mr. Momolu V.O. Sirleaf, has called on the Government of Liberia (GoL) through the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and stakeholders in the health sector to robustly and swiftly respond to the Ebola virus.
Mr. Sirleaf noted that the virus will cause more harm to the country if nothing tangible is done to curtail the wide spread of it.
Mr. Sirleaf was speaking Friday, July 11, 2014 at program marking the 27th anniversary of the founding of WAHO and Public Services International (PSI)-West African Health Sector Union Network (WAHSUN) held in Monrovia.
The 2014 WAHO Day was held under the theme: "Universal Health Coverage, Issues, Challenges and Opportunities."
"If we don't robustly respond to Ebola, if we don't act boldly and swiftly, this disease will cause complete disaster here. It is everyone's responsibility to join this fight. The leadership at the highest level needs to get involved with this fight," he stated.
I've included a link to the WAHO website, but I'm surprised to see very little there about Ebola—and that little is weeks out of date.
