On June 24, the KSA MOH issued "Infection prevention and control guidelines for patients with Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) infection." An English-language version is available, and deserves study. Click on the link below to download a copy.
Many of the guidelines seem like common sense, though some are little surprising (only one meter between patient beds?). It explains the criteria for home isolation of some MERS patients: "no shortness of breath, hypoxemia, or evidence of pneumonia."
The guidelines certainly deserve careful reading, and I welcome your comments on them.
