The Regional Hospital Málaga has commenced a protocol against Ebola after a suspected case, as reported by DIARIOSUR.
The patient, 40-year-old Nigerian who had recently been in the country, have been having high fever since admission. The patient has been kept in protective isolation unit until a result is confirmed whether he has the Ebola virus or not.
According to the report, the man is married to a Spanish and travels around the world as a sales representative of a company. He was presented at the Regional Hospital in Málaga in the early morning of today, where he remained isolated in a room designed for this purpose. The room is staffed by a team of professionals who are fully equipped.
Samples to determine if the patient has Ebola virus were forwarded to the national reference laboratory, the Institute of National Center for Microbiology Carlos III. The patient will remain under surveillance until the result is out.
