No sooner do I suggest military missions from countries like Sweden than Lucie Lecomte sends me this Xinhua report in Shanghai Daily: Sweden to send experts to West Africa to help combat Ebola. Excerpt:
Sweden is sending experts to Liberia, heeding WHO's call for assistance in fighting against Ebola.
The experts are planning to build a camp for the medical staff there, the Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter reported on Wednesday.
Emilio Konig from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency said: "We are sending the staff to Liberia at the end of the week. They will check the conditions for building a camp for 100-200 people, before we make a decision."
Emilio Konig claimed that the camp would cost between 30 and 40 million SEK [US$4.28 million-5.7 million] and was expecting to split the bill with other countries. According to a Swedish doctor, the camp will give the medical staff a good control over the hygiene conditions.
