Would B.C. still be B.C. without the early black settlers who arrived in Victoria in 1858?
Likely not, asserts Crawford Kilian, author of Go Do Some Great Thing, a book re-released in 2008 telling of the exodus of more than 600 blacks from San Francisco to Victoria.
The talk yesterday went extremely well—a big turnout of at least 100 people, 17 of whom bought copies of the book.
