Interesting, but it is worth mentioning that Finnish is a much easier language to learn to read and spell than English. At the age of Grade 2, English-speaking kids are behind in decoding compare to Finnish and virtually all Western European languages. Thanks to more resources, teachers, and higher budgets, more time devoted to language acquistition (at the detriment of other subjects) many Enhlish-speaking students can eventually memorize all of those hundred of thousands words that are misspelled in English dictionaries. Maybe, it is time for the English communities to face the facts. Your spelling system is FLAWED. When are you dfoing to fess up and fix it? Labeling kids disabled is easy! But, it is your language that is!
