« Canada: How paying people’s way out of poverty can improve all our pocketbooks | Main | UK: Salaries for top executives are rocketing 'out of control' »

As I wrote on my blog, this is exactly what Obamacare is about- the Democrats want to cahgne the relationship from patient doctor to patient government, and they want to move the focus off of individuals making choices towards society making decisions. The details don't matter- this is about freedom/liberty vs tyranny/death.

I confess, Debbie, that I don't see much connection between my post and your comment. Good healthcare insurance is one way to narrow the income gap, but what does Obamacare have to do with the US having the worst income gap in the OECD.

I can tell you, as a happy user of the Canadian healthcare system since 1967, that I am very much in charge of my medical care. The government's only involvement is to pay the healthcare workers who look after when I think I need them. Terms like "liberty" and "tyranny" never enter into the discussion.
