In addition to the comments posted here (keep them coming!), I also get a lot of email from readers who want to tip me off about items that might go on the site. These are often extremely apt and I post them at once. Others are good to know about but less urgent, and some have been superseded by events and other posts.
It's extremely encouraging to hear from you, and I appreciate all your suggested links, comments, and criticisms. They're an important part of this remarkable community of interest.
I don't always follow up on the links, and I can't answer all the mail. Sometimes people send me links to overtly commercial sites, or want to promote some potential cure for flu; I try hard to keep this a non-commercial site, and I'm very reluctant to suggest or endorse cures for flu when I have no medical background. For the same reason, the only comments I delete are the ones trying to sell something.
Sometimes I get wonderful thank-you notes, and I try to reply to them—but too often they get lost in the flood of incoming email, while I scramble to keep up with my lesson plans and grading. So if you've sent me such a note, and I've churlishly neglected to thank you back...thank you very much!
