A report in Nord Sud Quotidien (p. 8) noted that an outbreak of cholera has been reported in Adiake, a coastal town in eastern Cote d'Ivoire.
Citing a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), which sent a team to the site to assess the situation, the paper noted that the epidemic has so far killed two individuals. A total of US $500,000 is needed to respond to the outbreak, the paper added.
