USGS has announced a 4.9 earthquake off the west coast of Vancouver Island this evening: M4.9 - 189km SW of Port Hardy, Canada 2012-06-27 04:22:34 UTC. My wife and I are on Malcolm Island, on the east side of northern Vancouver Island, and didn't feel a thing. Just as well. We're right on the water.
