Via Arab News: It’s all systems go at airport health center. Excerpt:
Jeddah Health Affairs director Sami Badawoud conducted an inspection at the Health Control Center at King Abdul Aziz International Airport and at the airport’s Pilgrim City terminals. He checked the center’s internal sections, its readiness and the availability of medications and medical equipment required for providing outstanding health services to pilgrims arriving at the airport.
Badawoud discussed the work plan with the center’s director, doctors and health workers.
The official also inspected health workers’ and technicians’ performance while dealing with a few flights that arrived at the airport.
Badawoud said the ministry implements all health measures approved by World Health Organization in terms of infectious diseases transmission, causes, ways to avoid and prevent them, adding implementing health measures had contributed largely to curbing the spread of diseases among pilgrims.
Health workers will inoculate pilgrims and airport staff against certain infectious diseases. Abdulghani Al-Malki, the airport’s health control center director, said the center began its preparations for receiving pilgrims early.
