It stated that 357 children were treated and discharged, while four died out of the 33 cases recorded in Nangere Local Government.
The statement described reports that 87 children died in Potiskum as misleading.

The statement further stated that the state Ministry of Health introduced integrated measles campaign alongside the routine immunisation.
