On the epidemic website at the University of Edinburgh, I've found another useful map: H7N9 Background. It seems to have 8 of the 9 cases known so far, with the Suqian case notably distant from the rest—roughly 240 km or 150 miles from Shanghai. The Suqian case began a full month after Mr. Li, the 87-year-old who is so far the index case, fell ill in Shanghai. So it appears that H7N9 was spreading very rapidly during that month.
