Every day I check La Voix du Nord, a local paper in Lille, about the status of its sole surviving MERS patient. The last report was May 29: Coronavirus: One of the two patients died yesterday. (It's in French; Google Translate will give you a pretty good English version.)
That was the 64-year-old patient who came back from a trip to Dubai with MERS. Before the seriousness of his condition was understood, another patient had been put in his room and contracted the disease from him. This person has evidently remained in limbo ever since, his condition neither improving nor worsening. If the French authorities have issued an official update on him, I'm not aware of it.
