Via The Jerusalem Post: Knesset to meet over polio virus. Excerpt:
The Knesset Labor, Social Welfare and Health Committee will hold a special discussion on Monday morning about the discovery of polio virus in the sewage in six places in the Negev. The locations where the virus was found included the Beduin city of Rahat and Beersheba.
The Health Ministry, which conducts regular checks of sewage around the country to determine if there is vestige of the virus, said there was “no reason to panic” as no one had developed the disease of paralysis for some two decades.
