Look at the daily deaths graph in the right-hand column. It shows a sudden spike to 126,549 deaths on June 2, followed by a return to "normal" on June 3 (9,915) and June 4 (10,996).
Look at the daily cases just above it, and you'll see a similar spike back on December 10, to almost 1.5 million. That was the result of Turkey's re-estimate of its case count over most of a year.
But I can't find any explanation on the Johns Hopkins site for the June 2 deaths spike. I'd be grateful for help on this.
