Via the CONASS PANEL | COVID-19 dashboard, some relatively good news:
Case numbers for epi-week 46, which ends today, are 58,312—a drop from previous weeks in the 70-thousands, and a dramatic fall from the tip of the spike, week 12 last March, when cases hit 539,903. Deaths this week were down to 1,365, the lowest since April 2020 and again a sharp drop from the peak mortality of week 14, last April, when 21,141 Brazilians died.
Each death is a tragedy, but Brazil is enduring fewer and fewer of them, I hope this trend continues.
